The Cult of the Groaning Mother

The small, idyllic mountain hamlet of Lake’s Gap serves travelers crossing the Ironpeak Mountains. It rests quietly on the banks of Brathen Lake. Many who brave the surrounding roads vanish without a trace.

Yet not all is as it seems.

No one can say whether bitter luck or foul magic brought the demon Velmursa to Lake’s Gap. She began as a whisper in dreams, subtle and seductive. Slowly, she took form. Now, all in the town serve the Cult of the Groaning Mother.

Will your players escape and survive?  Or will they suffer the fate of so many other weary travelers?
